Cyber Security Experts to Inform at Agvance 2022
This year’s Agvance customer conference will include an impressive lineup of highly qualified experts that will dive into the topic of cyber security for agribusiness companies in an era of increasing threats. The panelists will share their expertise on why the agriculture industry has become a prime target for hackers and what can be done to prevent it.
The Cyber Security Panel will be presented during a working lunch session on the first full day of the conference, September 19th. Data security professionals within the ag and technology industries will share ideas and proven methods to achieve cyber security. Scott Meredith, Sr. Client Executive with ACS, will facilitate the live panel discussion. Panelists joining in the discussion include Eric Kruse, Head of Product Security for Bayer, Tony Taylor, CISO of Land O’Lakes, Inc., Jeff Mosley, CISO of GROWMARK, Inc., and Eric Tobin, Senior Solutions Architect with Amazon Web Services.
This will be an excellent opportunity to grow your knowledge and be prepared by knowing how to involve the right people, the right tools, and a risk management mindset. Panelists will share suggestions that businesses of all sizes and budgets can implement at their place of employment today. Topics may include learning ways to keep your cyber environment secure, navigating the varied tools available that often seem to overlap, gaining a better understanding of what it means to have a secure cloud, working with insurance companies, and executing incident response plans.
Conference attendees interested in a more in-depth look into how Agvance is protected can also attend a breakout session called Securing Your Data. Lyndal Rincker, Information Systems Manager for SSI, along with support from Oliver Panasewicz, Solutions Architect with Amazon Web Services will describe in greater detail how SSI and AWS together provide multiple levels of security for your data and the additional steps you can take to minimize threats from disasters, hardware failures, or ransomware attacks. This session explores opportunities for prevention, threat detection, monitoring, and worst-case scenario solutions.
