SSI Cybersecurity Remains Premium

SSI is excited to announce our recertification of a SOC2 cybersecurity certification. Unlike in previous years, SSI achieved a SOC 2 Type 2 certification in 2026. In the past, we have obtained a Type 1 certification, which reflects a moment in time; this Type 2 certification is a more thorough test of controls over the course of a year by verifying specific cybersecurity processes. This certification shows a commitment to not only doing things the right way in the short term but also to ensuring cybersecurity every day.

“We welcome the testing as aggressively as it possibly can be. We are not just trying to check a box but rather want the auditors to test us as thoroughly and strongly as possible.” Austin Jabs, SSI Chief Security Officer

SOC2 stands for System and Organization Controls and defines the criteria for managing customer data in accordance with the 5 trust service principles: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. During this certification process, our team worked with independent auditing firms to test and verify that SSI is following best practices for secure environments and software platforms. Testing covers every department at SSI and can uncover vulnerabilities by mimicking malicious hackers trying to infiltrate our environment and cause chaos. SSI’s internal controls successfully mitigated and stopped these test attacks, earning certification.

“The security of our data and our customers’ data is taken very seriously,” says Jabs, “we understand that when you are relying on software to efficiently run your business, you can’t always see everything going on behind the scenes to make that secure. That is where we come in. We take the extra steps to ensure the security of our platform for our customers.”

SOC2 certification demonstrates SSI’s continued commitment to data security for customers using SSI software platforms, including Agvance and Energy Force. This system testing ensures that as a service provider, SSI manages data to protect the interests of our customers’ organization and their clients. As Chief Security Officer, Austin Jabs believes, “We go above and beyond to tighten things down and do things the right way. Our customers can be confident that we are committed to ensuring that our environment is safe and secure.”
